Delinquent Mortgages Spike In April Due To COVID-19

A study from Inside Mortgage Finance revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic sparked an increase in mortgage delinquencies for mortgages backed by federal agencies. The report showed that mortgages backed by Ginnie Mae saw the largest surge in delinquencies more than doubling to 818,657 in April, compared to 352,397 in March.
