Weekly Mortgage Applications Bounce Back, Rates Hit New Record Low

Homebuyers are beginning to shake off their fears and are slowly stepping back in, as new data from the Mortgage Bankers Association's Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey showed that purchase applications have increased 12% over the last week. Unfortunately, total mortgage applications decreased from last week due to a 7% decrease in refinance applications, though, refinance applications are still higher than they were a year ago.
