Stay Classy, San Diego!

San Diego might be the southern tip of California, but on Thursday, August 7, it was front and center in the mortgage industry as the California Mortgage Expo rolled into town.

With nearly 900 registrants — a 15% increase over last year — this year’s San Diego stop ranked among our top five events of 2025. From the moment the doors opened, the energy was high and the conversations nonstop. Attendees packed into sessions to hear from industry leaders, while the exhibit hall buzzed with networking and business-building opportunities.

It wasn’t just about the numbers, though. The feedback we heard from originators and brokers was overwhelmingly positive — people walked away with fresh ideas, valuable vendor connections, and new strategies to keep business moving forward in a challenging market.

The OCN team is already rolling into the next big things — an NMLS renewal class on Friday, then straight to Las Vegas for Originator Connect next week — but we’re still riding high from the San Diego success.
